Wildlife at One

May 15, 2010

Today’s one o’clock training run was like a nature programme; I only went for an 8 mile run with Archie, yet in that time I saw four buzzards, two red kites and was only about 40ft from a muntjac on the old quarry road – trouble is Archie saw it too and they then embarked on their own little race through the woods. He’s fast.

I’ve noticed a lot more strange looks when running with the rucksack. Kettering folk are more than a little bemused!

It was hot today. When sheltered from what little wind there was, it seemed remarkably hot. I soon cooled down after the 10 minute soak in a COLD bath.

I wonder what the weather will be like on May 26…?
